Public History Projects I: Articles Found In HistorLink.org the Online Encyclopedia of Washington State History.

Feel free to check out some of these articles posted on historylink.org. Granted of course, these articles are about Raza history in Washington State. I'm currently in the process of updating a bibliography I've been working on for the last two and a half years. However, it occured to me that I never tried doing a few searches on the site. Pues, as always I'm trying to continually gather much of this information. This should be an interesting intro into our history via the 'Online Encyclopedia of Washington State History.'

O. Rosales Castaneda, C/S

*These are the articles that came up when I searched using the following terms (Mexican, Chicano, Latino and Hispanic).

*For this specific blog, I've decided not to include the articles on exploration into the region in the 1770s. If you'd like the links, let me know.

*The articles I wrote for them are in red text. I haven't included any new ones as they haven't been posted yet (hay si cabron, muy chingon, muy chingon. 'I'm a Northwest Xicano Scholar...' and so on...).

Introduction

Not much to say, really. This blog is an effort to collect my thoughts and articulate my own interpretation of the collective human condition here in Yakima. Granted of course, much of my writing is rooted in my own conceptualization of reality, as perceived through the multiple lenses I must utilize to make sense of reality. As such, I intend to note down my thoughts as a person of Mexican descent, from the Northwest. In a few short lines, that's about the extent of it. Though it'll be primarily a fusion of politics, prose, and random thoughts, I'll still make an effort to include the occassional light-hearted blog. That's it for now...until later.
